Late 19th century Victorian walnut sheet music cabinet dating to circa 1880. These cabinets were originally designed to store piano scores in Victorian parlors, when music played a central role in the home.
This example features decorative patterned glass panels set within framed doors, original brass hardware, and elegant turned spindle supports reflecting Eastlake design influences of the period. The upper cabinet opens to reveal interior shelving, while the lower section retains its original divided storage designed for organizing sheet music, books, or vinyl records.
Raised on original casters, the cabinet is both practical and decorative, and today works beautifully as a sheet music cabinet, small bar cabinet, or record cabinet.
