A 1970 watercolor and ink portrait painting by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). This vibrant work depicts a woman with straight brown hair staring out at the viewer. Signed and dated to the lower left, the painting is displayed in a wooden frame and a white mat.
Harry Hilson was active from the 1950s-1990s. He created a variety of works, including oil paintings, ink drawings, wool tapestries, wax paintings, video art, sculpture, and more. His studios could be found in New York, California, Texas, Georgia, and Florida. Hilson and his wife, Jane, also ran a framing company called Fine Art Inc.
