The bowl’s dramatic organic form is typical of Chalet Artistic Glass of Canada, known for bold colors and sculptural shapes during the mid-20th century. A single deep rest along the rim was designed for a cigar, making this a distinctive cigar ashtray, though it also works beautifully as a decorative catch-all bowl.

The underside shows a ground and polished pontil, confirming traditional hand-blown craftsmanship. The combination of thick glass and the raised amber feet gives the piece substantial weight and presence.
