Fresh from a fine New York City estate, we have a great pleasure to offer you this gorgeous Antique American … Read more Fresh from a fine New York City estate, we have a great pleasure to offer you this gorgeous Antique American Made French Style Inlaid & Bronze Mounted Drop Leaf Salon Center Table / used as a Desk. Featuring finest period inlay, done to match on all three sections of the top, "framed in" with wide mahogany band. Table is further adorned with nice bronze mounts on corners and feet. Large and impressive in size, hence great versatility, as it was used as a writing desk. Table top has two folding ends / extensions, which are supported by different mechanisams, one with a metal support and other with a wood slide (done by original design - see photos). There are no drawers. Four curved legs in Louis XV style are finished off with bronze sabots on the bottom. Table dates to the end of 19th century, no later than end of first quarter of 20th century. Table is in good condition, showing light age / use wear, recently polished (please see photos). Size is great to fit anywhere 29.5" tall to the top, 31" wide, and 23" deep when closed, opened it reaches 47" in width, and the knee clearance is 23" height. This baby is good for any room, it will mesh with any traditional or mid-century modern setting! See less
