The piece belongs to the Pizzicato series and is created using the distinctive “Soda” glass technique developed by Machovská. This process produces a remarkable bullicante effect, where numerous small air bubbles are suspended within the glass, creating a lively internal texture and subtle optical depth.

The vase features an elegant flared rim and a gently tapered body, with vertical internal facets that catch and refract light. The translucent green glass shifts beautifully between soft olive and deeper emerald tones depending on the surrounding light.

Machovská’s designs are highly regarded within the tradition of Czech studio glass, combining sculptural form with experimental glassmaking techniques characteristic of mid-century Central European design.
