An authentic Edwardian-era Slop Jar / Waste Pail, originally part of a luxury bedroom wash set. Produced by John Maddock & Sons (Staffordshire, England) circa 1896–1910.
Pattern: "BROOKLYN" underglaze floral transferware in cornflower blue.
Material: "Royal Vitreous" (high-quality durable ironstone).
Lobed (ribbed) relief body with a scalloped rim and hand-applied gold gilding.
Features original handles. It is exceptionally rare to find this specific model with handles in such perfect, unrestored condition.
Condition Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, or restorations. Displays light, honest wear to the gold gilt and natural age-related darkening of the unglazed base ring, confirming its 100+ year provenance.
Manufacturer: John Maddock & Sons Ltd. England.
Circa 1900.
Official "Royal Vitreous" crown stamp and "Brooklyn" pattern name on the base.
