The design is both subtle and refined, combining warm walnut veneer with contrasting dark beechwood, creating a rich material palette that highlights the craftsmanship of Central European modernism. The clean lines are complemented by a minimalist spherical glass shade, which softly diffuses light and adds a sculptural quality to the piece.

This model was originally designed in the 1940s by the renowned UP Brno factory, one of the most important furniture manufacturers in Czechoslovakia. During this period the company was under the artistic direction of Jindřich Halabala, whose influence helped shape some of the most iconic examples of Czech modernist design. Due to its popularity, the lamp remained in production in several slightly varied versions until the late 1950s.

The lamp shows minor wear and a gentle patina consistent with age and use, which only adds to its authentic vintage character and historical charm.
