The slanted writing surface opens to a meticulously arranged interior with ten small drawers and an open compartment, reflecting the craftsmanship and practical sophistication of the period. Three generously proportioned drawers sit below. The desk retains its original bronze mounts and escutcheons, delicately cast with rocaille motifs typical of the Baroque aesthetic.
