One scene depicts Place de la Madeleine, the other Place de la Paix with the Opéra Garnier beyond, each animated with elegantly dressed Parisians, horse-drawn carriages, and glowing storefronts. Painted with Lebron’s signature palette knife technique, the works radiate motion and atmosphere reminiscent of Édouard Cortès and Galien-Laloue.
Born in New York City, Lebron trained at the High School of Music and Art and the Art Students League before studying and painting extensively across Europe. His richly textured cityscapes earned him numerous awards including the Forbes Magazine Award, and his works have been exhibited internationally from Madrid to New York. A tiny dog, a recurring motif inspired by his childhood comic strip “Dickie Dare”, appears in many of his Paris scenes, adding a whimsical touch of continuity across his oeuvre.
Signed lower left and right. Both paintings are in excellent condition with vivid colors and fine impasto detail. A refined and atmospheric pair, ideal for a library, hallway, or collector of Paris street scenes.
