Fo; 102 pp. Red cloth, text interspersed with photography of the art collection by Robert Freeman. Matte sage paper covered slipcase with cloth borders and photo illustrated front cover, rubbed with slight wear at extremities. Design by Peter Cook. Bound by Shanghai Binding Company. Fine in a very good slipcase.

Provenance: Ex. Diana and Marc Goldstein (1935-2015), SOM Design and Consulting Partner (1970-1991), responsible for some of SOM's most important architectural and urban planning accomplishments of the 20th century; e.g. The Regent Hotel, Jakarta.
Preface: The pure lines of architecture and the elegant simplicity of the interior design of the Regent create a perfect background for the treasures that form this collection, to which more valuable pieces will be added in subsequent years. the acquisitions are the result of the foresight and encouragement of the Regent owners, Cheng Yu Tong and his son Henry.
It is not only the acquired art items that deserve recognition in The Regent. The distinctive architectural elements of the building that houses them have become forms of art themselves and also deserve acknowledgement. Hong Kong architect Joseph Chan and Californian designer Don Siembieda have created veritable sculptures out of the finest marbles and most noble woods.
The Result of their outstanding talents harmonize with those of previous eras found in the collection, offering a perfect blend of East and West, of antique and modern, in the setting that is The Regent.
