An exquisite original Art Deco fashion illustration from the 1931 edition of the prestigious French journal, Très Parisien. This is an authentic pochoir, a hand-stenciled print created by applying layers of gouache and watercolor through fine stencils. This technique gives the piece a rich, textured, and vibrant quality that modern digital prints cannot replicate.
This plate (No. 15) represents the "Sportive" (Sporty) chic of Paris in 1931. The illustration depicts a sophisticated ensemble featuring a rust-colored kasha coat and matching skirt, accented with a bold plaid crêpe de Chine.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with vibrant colors. The paper has a natural, light-cream age toning that adds to its authentic 1930s character.
