A striking mid‑century Indian jewelry chest crafted in dense rosewood and decorated with hand‑worked brass mounts and studs. The piece features a hinged lid and two cleverly concealed drawers hidden within the base—an appealing detail characteristic of traditional Indian storage chests designed for valuables.
The decorative brass elements include geometric bosses and stylized bird motifs, creating a sculptural, richly textured surface. The contrast between the warm rosewood grain and the aged brass gives the chest strong decorative presence.
