This striking piece is a Murano Sommerso Art Glass Vase, a classic example of Italian Mid-Century Modern design. The specific technique shown is Sommerso (Italian for "submerged"), which involves layering multiple colors of glass to create the illusion of one color floating inside another within a clear outer casing.
