The unique design of this conceptual piece allows it to stand upright as an art sculpture or to hang easily on a wall. A metalsmith created the color variations and patterns by applying different chemicals to each section, leaving the large brass circles unaffected. What appears as mixed metals is actually solid brass. The verdigris and copper fields are chemical reactions on brass. The kinetic design of shapes and arrows interacting with each other is intriguing because it is precisely calculated and balanced, but not symmetrical. This one-of-a-kind sculptural bowl has an elemental, alchemical, cosmic vibe with abstract, postmodern, and brutalist design elements. See less
