An embodiment of sculptural fluidity, this two-piece Carrara marble fountain dates to the 1980s and evokes the aesthetic of German sculptor Paul Brandenburg. Carved from solid Carrara marble, its smooth, interlocking forms suggest movement and cohesion, drawing the eye along its vertical rhythm and subtle tonal variations.
Whether displayed as a freestanding sculpture or a meditative water feature, the piece reveals an extraordinary dialogue between weight and weightlessness — a hallmark of Brandenburg’s influence.
Condition: Good vintage condition, with discoloration, surface scratches, and scuffs throughout. While currently non-functional as a fountain, the piece can be appreciated as a sculptural object or adapted for use as one. The taller form features a hole at the base and two metal spouts at the top; the smaller one has a single spout—designed to allow water flow when in use.
Additional Dimensions: Small Sculpture: 5.25"W x 7"D x 16.5"H
