This original 1932 hand-colored pochoir plate, titled "Création Jane," is a sophisticated example of early 1930s Parisian elegance. Originally published in Très Parisien (No. 11), it features two figures in intricately patterned evening gowns, likely designed by the celebrated Jane Régny, known for her modern, athletic approach to high fashion.
The piece beautifully highlights the era's shift toward the long, lean silhouette, with one figure showcasing a bold, plunging back detail. The pochoir technique provides a tactile quality to the lace-like pattern, achieved through the painstaking hand-application of gouache through stencils.
Presented in a professional custom 11" x 14" double black and silver mat, which perfectly frames the geometric lines and sophisticated palette of the illustration.
