For a bold statement in dining room decor, consider this set of eight mahogany chairs crafted by Century Furniture in Hickory, North Carolina. They have been slightly distressed and highlighted with gray paint in recessed areas to give the illusion of being fine antiques. The fabric is a lovely geometric design and was added by Beacon Hill (refer to picture 17). All eight chairs are in remarkably good condition and appear to have been used very little. One of the side chairs has a piece of wood missing from the right front leg (refer to picture 13). All of the chairs are solidly built and sturdy. There are two labels on the underside of each chair, one showing the manufacturer, Century Furniture (refer to picture 16), and one giving information about the upholstery by Beacon Hill (refer to picture 17). There is a date of February 12, 1999, on the Beacon Hill label.
I photographed these dining room chairs outside on a wonderfully warm March afternoon. They will invariably look different when viewed in an interior setting under artificial light. Please take this into consideration when matching colors.
