The piece features … Read more Striking sculptural art glass vase produced by Katarínska Huta, Czechoslovakia, dating from the mid- to late-20th century.

The piece features a deep ruby red rounded base from which rises an extraordinary openwork structure composed of pulled and fractured glass rods. These elongated elements interconnect to form a delicate basket-like lattice, creating a dramatic contrast between the heavy base and the airy sculptural crown.

This technique of stretching and breaking hot glass rods was characteristic of experimental Central European studio glass, giving each piece a unique organic appearance.

Both decorative and sculptural, the vase functions as a striking art glass object, ideal for collectors of Czechoslovak modern glass design. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
