The body is of a rounded square form with indentations to all four sides. The glass is etched with hunting motifs, including a horseshoe, riding crop, foxes’ head and floral foliage. The base is cut and polished glass. The handle, spout and hinged lid are all solid silver.

Hallmarked English silver (925 standard), Birmingham, year 1897 (x), Maker's mark S&Co (Skinner & Co).
