Authentic enamel signs on steel are hard to find. One feature that helps to authenticate age is the pattern of enamel loss around the holes. First the
decorative enamel, then the white undercoat, and lastly the rusted steel.
The back should be black with slight color variation. The sign should be heavy for its size.
This sign was purchased from a sign collection at a reasonable cost and is guarenteed to be authentic.
