The design exemplifies the sculptural and architectural vocabulary characteristic of high modernism of the period. Each chair is constructed with a rigid brushed and polished steel frame composed of rectilinear vertical supports and a distinctive central front leg in wide flat steel. The rear structure is defined by slender square-section uprights, creating a refined contrast between mass and lightness. The seating elements are fully upholstered in black leather. The circular seat cushion is deeply tufted with radial stitching converging toward a central button, forming a dramatic, almost rosette-like pattern. The semi-circular backrest wraps around the sitter in a generous curve and is vertically channeled, emphasizing softness against the precision of the steel frame.
