Amazing "shield" or "coat of arms" form body, made early 20th century in Italy, solid construction, the entire back is a solid sheet of Mahogany. Great design, incorporating rich brown wood base with parcel gilt / gold covered carvings, that are of superb quality! The tarnishing on the mirror silvering is a spectacular, designer's delight! Scroll gold gilt leaves on corners and an amazing cartouche pediment adorn the top. Please take another look at the carvings, they are gorgeous. Condition is very good, minimal age / use wear (please see photos). Size of this baby is impressive large 62" tall and 46" at widest point. This is the style and color that goes with everything and anything, it will enhance any setting and be a topic of many conversations ! See less
