Rare double-sided desk, model 70, designed by Kai Kristiansen for Feldballes Møbelfabrik in the 1950s, Denmark. This model is very rarely seen with these handles, drawers on both sides and extendable leaves. The desk is made of rosewood with an impressive and richly figured grain that emphasizes the exceptional quality of the material. The unique, beautifully shaped handles, tapered sled legs, refined wood joints, and beveled edges demonstrate the high level of attention to detail and craftsmanship of the makers.
The unique freestanding desk can be used on both sides / by two people. One side has three deep drawers and a filing drawer with hanging folders. The other side has six standard drawers. In addition, this piece of furniture includes two extendable leaves, which can be pulled out on either side when extra space is needed.
In very good condition with some minor damage, see photos.
