19th century French sideboard crafted in oak and finished with a bleached surface that highlights the natural grain of the wood.
The cabinet features carved panel doors decorated with floral and leaf motifs. A scalloped skirt runs along the base, and the sideboard rests on curved and carved front feet.
Generations of use are visible throughout the piece. The top shows cracks, gouges, older repairs, stains, and age-related separation of planks. Similar wear is visible along the sides and front panels, including additional separation of planks consistent with age. Some signs of dried old wormholes.
The lock and key function and open to reveal one interior shelf, which also shows age-related separation of planks.
The sideboard has been restored and is strong, stable, and ready for use.
