….We found this on a grey, cold Paris morning at the marché, sitting quietly among a jumble of odds and ends — and it stopped us in our tracks. Crystal this clear, this confident, this geometric doesn't hide. It announces itself.
This is pure Art Deco at its best. The wide shallow bowl, the bold pedestal base, the etched detailing — every line is intentional. Made in France in the 1930s, it has that particular quality that only old French crystal seems to have: substantial without being heavy, decorative without being fussy. Très français.
Put fruit in it. Float flowers in it. Set it on a sideboard and just let it be beautiful. However you use it, it brings something to a room — a quiet elegance, a sense that someone once had very good taste and you were lucky enough to find their things.
The crystal is clear and bright with lovely vintage character. A genuine find.
