We acquired this example from the estate of an art collector who used it to display sculptures and art pottery. The minimalist form, unified material, total lack of adornment (aside from a soft edge on the top) and subtle transparency of the material (it appears darker in a regular room rather than the white sweep) makes it a perfect occasional table next to a sofa, lounge chair, or in the corner of the room.
