They were restored a … Read more These two chairs are in excellent overall condition and look very nice from top to bottom. They were restored a couple of years ago to a greater degree than is typically seen. The backrest, seat cushion and vinyl upholstery were replaced, as were the chair glides (feet). The only part that was not updated is the metal frame. They have seen relatively little use since being redone; thus, they are both still in fine shape. Virtually any flaws found were a result of the restoration they received. We do like to go into detail though - Top to bottom conditions: The top of the backrests are good with no wear or damage, and both the back and fronts are excellent. There were two minor areas found to point out. One of the backrests is just slightly movable, and there is a small spot where the white of the underside of the upholstery is showing on one. This is located on the back, on the bottom edge, and is not visible when the chair is in its normal position. The metal portion leading down to the seat has a minimal amount of wear, but it is minor. The top of both seats is flawless, and the outside edges are fine, save for another barely visible slight "mess up" on the right corner of one chair. The undersides of the seats are good with no issues to report. Aside from light blemishes to the metal legs, the following was found. There is some paint wear on the top of the front legs on one, a mark that may be corrosion on the backside of a right front leg, and there is wear to the gold finish of the feet on a couple so that they are more silver than gold. *** It was difficult to get the pictures to show the true color, and most make the green look too dark, but the close-up pictures of the seat and backrests are good representations. After searching the Internet and uploading a couple of examples, it was determined that the color is Dark Sage. ***
