This 8-inch porcelain vase is a study in thermodynamic artistry. Unlike traditional glazes, this vessel underwent a precise, multi-day cooling cycle, allowing genuine zinc-silicate crystals to bloom within the molten Cobalt and Royal Blue matrix. Weighing 1.4 lbs, the result is a 'frozen' garden of three-dimensional, light-refracting 'flowers' that shift in appearance as you move around the piece. Numbered 1846 and bearing the artist’s 'IKK' monogram, this is a museum-quality example of the challenging crystalline process.
