Luna Lee Ray received her BFA from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon in 1988. Born in Queens, NY, the great- grand- niece of Man Ray, she has lived and shown her work in Oregon, Hawaii, Arizona, and New Mexico, before settling in the Chapel Hill area in 1998.
All of her imagery is informed by her experience of the natural world. This lovely tranquil piece painted on wood from 2018 is named 'The Ancient Sea' and features soft hues of green and gray and cream. In good condition.
