Beautiful and Baker… those two words just go together!!! And we have half-a-dozen Baker Beauties for your viewing (and purchasing!) pleasure!!! This is an INCREDIBLE set of six dining chairs by Baker Furniture comprised of handsome hardwood frames with a gently curving to the top rail with the typical pulled ears, unique solid urn-shaped back splat, stately turned front legs, and stretchers between back legs and front and back legs. They retain their original traditional navy blue and burgundy diamond patterned upholstery trimmed with antiqued brass nail-head accents. The oval brass Baker tag is on the underside of each chair. Baker Furniture has been known for its high-quality furniture since 1893 and this set of six fabulous dining chairs are included in that legacy. Built to last for years and years to come, their simple classic lines will never look dated. Their GORGEOUS Georgian aesthetic will blend in perfectly with many design styles & they will look stunning surrounding your dining table whether the setting is elegant or simple, in a castle or farmhouse, and from contemporary to antique.
Baker is one of the most prestigious names in furniture! They were founded in 1890 by Siebe Baker, an immigrant from the Netherlands as an interior woodwork and door company. Three years later they made their first piece of furniture. In 1910 Siebe’s son, Hollis S. Baker, joined the company as a salesman and throughout most of Baker’s existence it was a family-controlled business, even being sold and repurchased in the 1920s-1930s. Baker is considered a design legacy and over the years they have produced furniture designed by such greats as Donald Desky and Kem Weber in the early 20th century, Finn Juhl in the mid-20th century, and John Saladino and Barbara Barry in the late 20th century. They have introduced many award-winning furniture collections including, during the 1940s and 1950s, Far East Collection, the first Asian furniture collection manufactured in the USA; and Palladian Collection an Italian neo classic design. Then, in the 1960s and 1970s the introduction of country English and French Provincial featuring the reproduction of choice antiques from the home of the Duke and Duchess of Bedford. After decades of being in the Baker family hands, in 1969 it was sold to Magnavox then in 1986 to Kohler Co. It remains today a part of Kohler & operates out of North Carolina. Still one of the top names in furniture.
Exceptional Quality, Distinguished Presence, and a recognized Baker Furniture reputation to BOOT!! This gorgeous set of six Baker dining chairs is too fabulous to let go. So, DON’T!!!! You simply must make them YOURS!!!!
