This piece is made of solid wood construction, primarily mahogany. The chest has been ebonized and finished with a lustrous French polish of museum quality. There are three dovetailed drawers all featuring gilt brass pulls and trim. At the center of each drawer is an escutcheon of brass that showcases a bow design. All three drawers have working locks, and a single original key is available. The chest is supported by four tapered legs with brass feet. The chest also features an intact Carrara marble slab top. This piece is in very nice antique condition with only minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The photos accurately depict the condition. See less
