This stunning Christ seems to be in box wood that has a very beautiful color , we would like to … Read more This stunning Christ seems to be in box wood that has a very beautiful color , we would like to highlight the extreme attention to details in this sculpture so characteristic of Flemish art of that period a the 17 century , so strikingly realistic that you can see the veines on the arms , the nails on the fingers , and more in the body itself ,the drapery is splendid ,the hair and expression absolutely beautiful . All this so characteristic of Flemish art in sculpture but also in paintings .The Christ a a stand so size with the stand is 15 H on 6.5 W on 3.5 D , without the start it s 13.5 .We have listed another Christ but this time Italian and painted from the 17 hundreds please check that listing as it could be wonderful to have both and play the contrast between the two styles and periods , listed on our Chairish shop at FRENCHTOUCH10 See less
