Each piece features a cylindrical body and narrow neck, rendered in vivid red glass with a bold black horizontal band encircling the center. The surfaces are treated in the Scavo technique, producing a powdery, matte texture that evokes the patina of archaeological glass. This ancient-inspired finish contrasts strikingly with the modernist simplicity of form and colour. Both pieces display particularly uniform scavo application, with soft gradations and no irregular texturing — a mark of skilled execution. Distinctive and sculptural, these bottles reflect late 20th-century Murano’s dialogue between tradition and contemporary design. They make compelling standalone statements or additions to a modern Murano collection.
