Executed in vivid red glass, the form is tall and cylindrical, defined by a concave hooped indentation that gently articulates the body as it rises. The red glass is encased and anchored by a substantial clear crystal base, formed as a thick, polished puck that encapsulates the lower portion of the vessel. This contrast between saturated color and solid transparency is characteristic of Scandinavian glassmaking during the period, where clarity of form and material integrity were central concerns. The silhouette is restrained and architectural. The cylindrical upper section transitions into a subtly narrowed waist before meeting the heavy clear base, giving the vase both visual weight and balance. The simplicity of the profile allows the intensity of the red glass to remain the primary visual focus, making it suitable as a standalone sculptural object or as a vessel for a single stem arrangement.
