The lamp has a cast iron black enameled in which a metal pole is locked. The lamp can be adjusted along the pole with a sliding system. The sliding system can by locked or loosened by turning a small handle. On the end of this handle there is a bakelite knob. The aluminium lamp shade is mounted on a bakelite fitting and can be adjusted, by a ball joint, to several positions. The lamp is marked on the pole with: Excelsior Schiedam. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
