The 181-page, softcover/wraps includes a Preface and Epilogue and a full-color illustrated catalogue of the many valuable Cloisonné items in the collection. Initially, the Clagues traveled the world, seeking Chinese and Japanese works from the 16th to early 19th Century. Ultimately, they disposed of their Japanese cloisonné and Chinese duplicates to include only historic Chinese cloisonné, as shown in this catalogue. The Introduction includes an in-depth history of Cloisonné. This book is in very good vintage condition, clean, bright, unmarked. Only some. very mild wear along the edges of the vintage book, and creases to the back cover corners. Of interest to Cloisonné collectors or those inspired to start a collection of their own.
