This antique petite chest from Italy features a pair of rounded carved column side posts, which flank the 10 small drawers, and central door to cubie. The drawers are each beautifully embellished on their front facades in an abstract landscape and rising sunray motif. Brass accents are found about the top and bottom of each pillar, and as decorative pulls on the drawers. The backside remains unfinished, so best use would be to be placed against a wall. This early 20th century Italian Varqueno chest will make a wonderful decorative storage piece atop a table or shelf. See less
