This vintage Art Deco cabinet was produced by The American Cabinet Company in the United States, likely dating to the 1930s–1940s. The piece reflects the company’s distinctive blend of industrial steel construction with decorative architectural detailing characteristic of early modern office furniture. The cabinet features multiple shallow steel drawers with matching steel fronts, each fitted with sculptural carved wood vertical pulls that create a striking geometric rhythm across the façade. Beneath the top, a decorative carved frieze with repeating arched motifs adds a strong Art Deco architectural element. The work surface retains what appears to be its original white porcelain enamel over steel top, a durable and highly practical material commonly used on office furniture of the period. The hinged top opens to reveal a storage compartment with a lift-up interior bin that raises with the lid, a clever feature that allows easy access to stored items. On each side, there is additional storage and the maker's label on the right hand side.
With its combination of industrial materials and Deco detailing, the cabinet works beautifully in an office or studio, but could also serve as a striking nightstand or bathroom cabinet thanks to its durable porcelain work surface.

The cabinet is structurally solid, heavy, and well made, with drawers that slide smoothly and clean interiors. The porcelain enamel top presents very well with no visible stains. There are some minor touch-ups and small chips to the black painted border and decorative trim on the front. The black lids at the back show light surface wear from age and use. Overall, the piece shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with age while remaining highly presentable and functional. less
