The heavy metal design is capped with a brass rim and features four cylindrical peg feet at the base. The artistic balloon motif is represented in a 19th century style in shades of everything from a jade and emerald green to red, purple, yellow, baby blue and orange. The background is an antiqued white with graphic lines in black. The base is marked with a painted Fornasetti hallmark. Though reproduced over the years, this umbrella stand represents the heyday of 1950's Piero Fornasetti's imaginative designs. Bring on the rain!

The stand is in good and sound condition with all original surfaces and no dents or repairs. It is vintage and shows signs of age and use including some loss to the enamel surface as shown in photographs 11 and 14 as well as allover crazing and age spotting as seen in the photographs. I would recommend this piece for collectors or those who do not mind patina to their vintage items.
