Along with that provenance comes a lamp that practically looks like it just came off the showroom floor -- it's that clean! There are some chips to the green patina, but they're minimal in number and size. You'll see a few around the break and there are a couple on the aladdin lamp's bowl. The patina is a deep, lustrous green, freshly cleaned and waxed.

The interior of the push-pull socket seems to have been replaced, and it works fine. I suppose the rayon-covered cord is also newish. At least whoever rewired it chose the best and most expensive cord!

If you have the shade, so much the better. If not, there are many ways to put a shade on this which will honor the integrity of the base. An art glass shade would be my own preference.

Dimensions: the lamp stands about 55 inches high (to the top of the shade holder) and the iron base is about 9 3/4 across. See less
