Fabulous mid-century, modern painting by The well listed Piero Aversa who was born in Italy, but lived in New York and Key West. He worked in fashion and interiordesign in New York City before settling in Key West Florida. He has had Auction results over $14,000. His works are very hard to come by because they are closely held in private collections and rarely come up for Auction. He died at 61 years old so I don’t think there’s a lot of works out there. This painting is of Novella Parigini who was an Italian actress and set decorator. I assume they were close friends. The painting is an oil on canvas measuring 17 and three-quarter inches high by nine and three-quarter inches wide. It has the title of her name on the back and dated 1959 along with a little doodle. The frame measures 23 inches by 14 3/4 inches but most likely needs to be replaced as it is a mid-century velvet frame. The painting is in very good original condition. See less
