Vintage Japanese kintsugi repaired stoneware ceramic small pitcher, signed on the base “Suzanne.” I repaired a small chip on this vintage water jug using traditional Japanese kintsugi. This is a multi-step process that takes several weeks to complete. Urushi, a natural resin from trees in Japan, is used to fill any cracks or chips as a glue and then as a lacquer. As a final step, I added 23k food safe gold powder. This kintsugi repaired vintage pottery piece is completely safe to use. Hand-wash only.
