DESCRIPTION:
Great Knoll Studios "Salsa" lounge sofa in birch and leather designed by Paul Aferiat and Peter Stamberg 1994. Leather color is chocolate brown. See close up of leather for actual color. Leather in photos of full sofa are darker than actual. I have a matching pair of Salsa club chairs and a Knoll toothpick cactus table listed separately. This was the high-end furniture of the 1990's. Structurally built like a tank, this is solid, heavy and well constructed. The chocolate brown leather is the best I've seen: soft, supple, flawless…I thought it was synthetic until I opened the zippers and saw the suede backing. No expense was spared with this design. The legs can be reattached / adjusted/turned in small increments with the varied hole configuration. (one of the center front legs looks to be off one increment and can be removed and reattached using the legs system). The wedge back cushion is reversible (seat cushion is full leather on only one side). Knoll labels present.
DIMENSIONS:
Frame is 24" tall (with seat back cushion 28'). x 105" wide x 38.25" depth. Seat height with cushion 16" Interior seat 22" depth.

Some finish wear and slight "graying" to the veneer. Leather is perfect. Cushion/padding still very good. Couple small blemishes/veneer chips with a small uneven veneer spot on the back edge of one of the arms as shown. Age related interior discoloration to frames visible when cushions are removed. There is one missing side arm shelf as can be seen with the slight color variation / shadow on the wood. This design allows for the exterior frame to be changed. The back shelf doesn't extend the full length of the sofa. This is original because there is no remnant/sign of removal from the area. less
