For your consideration is this exceptional 19th-century Louis-Philippe-style chest of drawers (commode), circa 1840–1860. This is a true statement piece featuring some of the most striking book-matched burled walnut veneers I have seen, characterized by deep, swirling grain and rich honey-bronze tones.
Design & Heritage:
Style: Classic Louis Philippe silhouette with a signature "doucine" (ogee-shaped) top drawer and clean, elegant lines.
Materials: Authentic burled walnut veneers over a solid wood frame.
Stone: Includes the original, heavy marble top with a refined beveled edge.
Hardware: Outfitted with flat & horizontal brass bar pulls that complement the wood's figure beautifully, and centered keyholes that have a key.
