Nice antique Butler’s desk in beautiful cherry. This lovely antique cherry desk has so much character and a beautiful design.

Antique Butler’s Desk
This lovely antique butler’s desk looks like a chest of drawers. However, the top drawer holds a fold out desk with beautiful interior. Of course, in the early 1800s, the main butler was often literate and helped with many household correspondence. So, this desk is meant to act as a standing desk for this important person.

The interior of the desk features lovely inlaid drawers and small cubbies. Of course, it also has beautiful figured wood across the drawers, including mahogany, cherry and tiger maple.

This nice cherry antique desk has some history, and according to the paperwork found in the desk, was from a prominent Virginia family home.

The desk shows some signs of age, including some separations to the side and top. Please see photos. See less
