Antique Farmhouse Yellowware Blue and Brown Sponge Decorated Pitcher, Circa 1870's
Probably made in the USA, circa 1870-1890's Probably from one of the many pottery houses in Ohio at that time.
Unmarked, maker unknown.
Brown and blue sponge decoration on a white/yellow coloured clay
Size: 9 1/2" tall, 6" spout to handle, and 5 1/4" across at the base.
Condition: use and wear marks consistent with age/use. Glaze flakes on the spout, and a glaze chip on the base. See pictures.
