An elegant eighteenth-century lady stands in a poised stance, her delicately painted face serene and expressive beneath a powdered gray coiffure styled in soft curls and gathered into a refined period hairstyle. In one hand she holds a brightly colored parrot, its vivid green and orange plumage providing a lively contrast to the softer palette of the porcelain figure.

Her voluminous gown is rendered in a warm rose-pink ground richly adorned with flowing gold floral scrollwork. Carefully modeled folds and drapery create a sense of movement and lifelike depth to the fabric, enhancing the sculptural quality of the piece.
