The lid features a large peony blossom with buds and leaves against a diamond diaper ground. Sides decorated with scrolling floral and key-fret borders. Black lacquer interior and base with brass butterfly hinges. Wood core construction. Rich red color with crisp carving. Minor wear consistent with age. Great display piece or jewelry box. See less
