A magnificent and elegant art deco sculpture depicting a young, unclothed woman tenderly embracing a doe, created by the renowned french sculptor charles lemanceau (1905-1980).
signed "lemanceau" in relief on the base, this work perfectly exemplifies the aesthetics of the 1930s. The lines are fluid, soft, and refined, typical of the return to classical purity of this period. The piece is crafted from white glazed earthenware with a superb "crackle" effect, a highly technical firing technique particularly popular during the art deco era, which lends the object its texture and depth.
a refined collector's item, ideal for adding a touch of softness and timeless elegance to a classic or contemporary interior. The piece is in superb condition. The white enamel is glossy, and the network of crackles (inherent to the original manufacturing technique) is beautifully distributed. There are no chips, cracks (apart from the original cracks), or visible restorations. This piece has an attribution mark,
i am sure that it is completely authentic and take full responsibility for any authenticity
