Antique 19th c. Chamberlains Worcester white and gold porcelain shell form compote filled with naturalistically painted sea shells and coral. Large size - measures 5 9/16" tall and 6 11/16" x 7 1/16" across. Provenance: Earle Vandekar of Knightsbridge, New York.
Excellent condition - one shell with small chip at end; firing fault to underside - in the making does not detract. England c. 1820.
